Nano grain size tungsten trioxide may have an application in heat insulating window glass, which make the glass have the following characteristics:
1. High heat insulation: the shielding rate of infrared rays is from 60% to 99%, which varies with the addition ratio of WO3.
2. High light transmittance: visible light transmittance is at the range of70-80%. According to the industry standard (GB/T 31849-2015), the light transmittance of front window of automotives is higher than 70%.
3. Weather resistance: color change is less than 0.6.
Tungsten trioxide also has photochromic property, and the tungsten trioxide film is the main research object of the electrochromic performance of tungsten trioxide. Based on the improved EISA process, 3D mesoporous film of tungsten trioxide can be prepared with WCl6 as the tungsten source and the nonionic gemini surfactant TMDD as a structure-oriented template. Electrochromism is based on ion implantation and extraction, while the nano-mesopor mechanism shortens the path of ion diffusion and improves response speed.
