Some scholars have studied the preparation of ultrafine tungsten powder by hydrogen reduction of different tungsten oxides. The study adopts some tungsten oxides with single phase including violet tungsten oxide (WO2.72), yellow tungsten oxide (WO3), hydrogen tungsten bronze (H033WO3) and ammonium tungsten bronze ((NH4)0.5WO3), and blue tungsten oxide (TBO containing two phases of WO2.9 and WO2.72) as raw materials to study their effects on the preparation of ultrafine tungsten powder. The results show that tungsten oxides with single phase can produce fine and uniform tungsten powder by hydrogen reduction. The tungsten powder prepared by hydrogen reduction of WO2.72 is a raw material suitable for preparing ultrafine grained cemented carbide - fine and uniform with good dispersion.
