According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, from January to October 2025, China's imports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps, the same below) totaled 17,900 tons, a year-on-year increase of 36.48% compared with the same period in 2024; the import value reached RMB 2.375 billion, a year-on-year increase of 34.74%.

From January to October 2025, China imported:
Tungsten ores & concentrates: 15,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 59.78%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 2,007 kg, compared with only 4 kg in the same period last year.
Calcium wolframate: 136.99 tons, a year-on-year increase of 125.98%.
Ammonium metatungstate: 210 kg, compared with only 1 kg in the same period last year.
Tungsten powders: 31.99 tons, a year-on-year increase of 52.94%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 2,405 kg, a year-on-year increase of 19.35%.
Tungsten wire: 4,721 kg, a year-on-year increase of 10.15%.
Tungstic acid: 10.75 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 81.18%.
Tungsten trioxides: 27.43 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 65.16%.
Other tungsten oxides & hydroxides, nes: 40.04 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 45.16%.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 381.56 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.93%.
Sodium tungstate: 1,527.77 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 37.47%.
Carbides of tungsten: 52.55 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 48.61%.
Ferro-tungsten: 73 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 99.82%.
Bars & rods, exclude those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, etc: 5,141 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 51.60%.
In addition, from January to October 2025, China imported:
Knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 603.38 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.91%.
Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 463.14 tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.56%.
