Compared with traditional lead screen, X-ray protective tungsten alloy screen has better X-ray shielding performance. Studies show that because of high density, the volume of tungsten alloy shields is only 2/3 that of lead screen to obtain equivalent protective effect. This means that the volume (mainly in thickness) of tungsten alloy screen is much smaller than that of lead screen, while it can achieve the same shielding effect.
