Rare earth market update on November 13, 2025
The domestic rare earth market overall presents a steady but slightly weak pattern. Under the interweaving of bullish and bearish factors, the negotiation atmosphere between buyers and sellers is slightly deadlocked, causing product prices to basically oscillate in a narrow range and order growth to be slow.
Today, praseodymium-neodymium oxide, terbium oxide and dysprosium-iron alloy prices decreased by approximately RMB 2,000 per ton, RMB 20,000 per ton and RMB 10,000 per ton, respectively.
In the light rare earth market, praseodymium-neodymium prices show a high-level callback trend, mainly due to the obvious upward adjustment of praseodymium-neodymium supplier quotes in the previous one or two weeks and the recent decrease in magnet material enterprises' acceptance of high-priced sources, but supported by production costs, the downward space for product prices is small.
In the medium-heavy rare earth market, the overall situation maintains weak operation, with low inquiry and procurement enthusiasm from downstream users and low willingness from suppliers to sell at significantly reduced prices, leading to weak consolidation of mainstream medium-heavy rare earth product prices.
On the news front, National Bureau of Statistics data show that in October 2025, the national producer price index for industrial products increased by 0.1% month-on-month, turning from flat in the previous month; purchaser prices for industrial producers increased by 0.1% month-on-month, with the same increase as the previous month.
Among them, in producer prices for industrial products, mining industry prices increased by 1.0%, raw material industry prices remained flat, and processing industry prices increased by 0.1%; in purchaser prices for industrial producers, non-ferrous metal materials and wires prices increased by 2.4%, ferrous metal materials prices increased by 0.2%, chemical raw materials prices decreased by 0.6%, building materials and non-metals, textile raw materials prices both decreased by 0.2%, and fuel and power prices decreased by 0.1%.
