According to data compiled by CTIA GROUP LTD from the General Administration of Customs, China’s molybdenum products imports from January to October 2025 totaled 73,657.72 tonnes, increased by 21.17% year-on-year; the cumulative import value amounted to RMB 11.619 billion, increased by 34.82% year-on-year.

Of which, from January to October China imported 13,332.43 tonnes of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 140.78% year-on-year; 50,407.96 tonnes of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 12.39% year-on-year; 1,713.02 tonnes of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, increased by 8.08% year-on-year; 1,522.60 tonnes of ammonium molybdate, increased by 64.19% year-on-year; 814.15 tonnes of other molybdates, decreased by 26.04% year-on-year; 5,601.85 tonnes of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 13.81% year-on-year; 4.36 tonnes of molybdenum powder, decreased by 8.84% year-on-year; 14.69 tonnes of unwrought molybdenum (including bars and rods simply obtained by sintering), increased by 209,800.00% year-on-year; 189.72 tonnes of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles and shapes, plates, sheets, strips and foil, decreased by 17.99% year-on-year; 39.19 tonnes of molybdenum wire, increased by 8.97% year-on-year; and 17.75 tonnes of other molybdenum products, increased by 10.00% year-on-year.
From January to October 2025, China’s molybdenum products exports totaled 28,144.14 tonnes, decreased by 17.30% year-on-year; the cumulative export value amounted to RMB 6.378 billion, decreased by 17.02% year-on-year.

Of which, from January to October China exported 10,782.19 tonnes of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, decreased by 7.13% year-on-year; 6,072.37 tonnes of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, decreased by 16.15% year-on-year; 1,515.57 tonnes of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, decreased by 39.01% year-on-year; 242.14 tonnes of ammonium molybdate, decreased by 43.50% year-on-year; 257.09 tonnes of other molybdates, decreased by 12.44% year-on-year; 5,146.00 tonnes of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 19.44% year-on-year; 78.89 tonnes of molybdenum powder, decreased by 66.31% year-on-year; 1,661.89 tonnes of unwrought molybdenum (including bars and rods simply obtained by sintering), decreased by 27.38% year-on-year; 428.32 tonnes of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles and shapes, plates, sheets, strips and foil, decreased by 44.36% year-on-year; 257.21 tonnes of molybdenum wire, increased by 7.30% year-on-year; 1,394.48 tonnes of molybdenum waste and scrap, decreased by 24.59% year-on-year; and 308.00 tonnes of other molybdenum products, increased by 50.17% year-on-year.
